Repairing Aluminum/Plastic Radiator

The radiator out of my ranger sprung a leak where the plastic tank clamps to the aluminum core. I can't see any cracks. Is this repairable? Are there any radiator shops that will take it apart and replace the o-rings or gaskets? Seems a shame to buy a new one when the components are all in good shape.

In my experience it has been almost as cheap to buy a new one these days as to repair those ones. I am on my third one on my Dodge in about 5 years. Would love to just get an all aluminum radiator, but can't find one for that truck. Have seen too many leak where the plastic ends are glued to the aluminum center.

Back when radiators were made from copper and brass you could easily fix them. Now days with these cheap plastic tanks the best thing to do is toss them in the trash and buy a new one.

Definitly going to be best to buy a new one. We buy about 3 a day from Keystone in Murray. They are cheap and have a warranty. If you get me the info on your ranger I could call and get a price for you. They have a TON of margin in radiators. sometimes I can get as much as half off.

I think most radiators shops will replace the end tanks. I've stopped leaking end tanks by whacking the crimp tabs with a hammer and chisel, if that's where the leak is.
