Revalve my air shocks and coil overs

Who on here can do it .. How much do you charge?

I'm looking to go faster.. I will be running 7 to 9 inches of up on the rear 18 inch air shocks..
And 7 up on the front coil overs.

I'm not sure what they are valved like now but my guess is with that much shaft out . Especially in the rear they probably could be tuned to ride alot better.

I don't know much about this just been reading some of the go fast stuff on pirate and it got me wanting to get it dialed in better..

Before my rig was probably a little lighter but the rear tires would not stay on the ground in the whoops and that wasn't even going that fast!

They are both fox. I've never ran the coil overs on this buggy they came off my land rover.
But I know the air shocks have too much rebound.

Did you see wayland Campbell's crash where he over shoots the jump and the rear pops up and he goes end over end?

Thats kinda how I feel with my rear air shocks lol

Imo he did not have enough rebound in that video. His suspension didn't pack it unloaded

Wouldn't that be not enough damping?

And air shocks are not ideal... Shannon won koh 08 with them .... I think
I can't afford fancy coil overs and tripple bypass'

No its rebound that controls how fast the shock re extends. One thing that is common to hear is for going fast you want very little rebound. This is the case when talking leaf springs because the friction of the springs slows them down. But two factors in that video show he needs more rebound.
When he launches off that jump his back end launches and two when he lands again his back end goes sky high.

My personal experience with air shocks is it takes way more valveing to control the rebound then one would think. I generally run a heavier oil to help also.

True, but if memory serves me, the air shocks shannon ran are the triple bypass w/ piggy back res air shocks. I don't know if this is what your using, as they are way more expensive and harder to get than a coilover, but they also would be more adjustable than a standard smooth body air shock. They take the place of coilover, bypass and bumpstop. If you are using the standard smooth bodies, I will be interested to find out if you can tune them to your application. I have seen them run hard on the front of a yj and they got hot quickly and started to fade and bottom out. His air shocks were never tuned though. Let us know how it goes.

I might run my 4 inch air bumps back there.. With the air shocks

And I will be running a coil also..

So I'm hoping running max oil and low pressure will help.

And when I'm rich I will get some coil overs and triple bypasses

Also the rear of my rig should be pretty light and running 9 inches of shaft showing.. With the shock mounted forward onthe lower link should help with bottoming out..

With it being quite aways forward on the link it should be moving less to do the same work
