RME Chat Room

There has been a few requests for a Chat Room, so conversations can be real-time, rather than waiting on PM's back and forth. Heres what we have so far.....

I can't seem to do anything with the colors other than the 3 choices. Let me know if its worth keeping around, I may just Stickey this thread with the Link and keep it in Chit Chat.

You will probably have to PM the person you want to talk to and meet up in the Chat Room......

It's just you...

I just opened it and it worked fine. Greg and I have used it a few times and have never had any problems.

Does it even open for you?

It opens but it's just a blank grey screen. Maybe there needs to be someone there, or maybe my computer isn't cofigured right

Well, I'm in there now, and have been since I replied above. It should open even if nobody else is in there. It's possible that you don't have any Java stuff on your computer. I'm no computer expert, but I had problems with a previous chat room, and after I downloaded some free Java software everything worked fine. Not sure if it's even remotely related to that, but the grey screen is the same problem I had before I installed the Java software.

Oh well, thats probably it. I will have to try from home because the IS guys here at work get all worked up if you download software onto the machines.

Just so you know I tried it out afew times and each time it says the connection failed, and under that it says the connection is refused. It doesn't wanna work for me.

I can't get it to work is iot just for person to person or can you talk to anyone who's on teh chat with you. How do i get into it after clicking on chat room?

k where are the instructions? How do I know if anyones there, and tell it it's me. not just unknown?

Yeah, there isn;t any real interest (or it hasn;t been expressed) so there hasn;t been any reason to do anything with the chat room...there will be some good things happening around here though pretty soon...

I just noticed we had one. Uh... FYI I won't use it. So Greg if it is costing more money towards RME, you might take it off cuz I didn't see anyone in it. That's my opinion though.
