I just got this from Evan Day a Rockhound and wondered if that means all 5 areas do not have maps available and if so how can they post signs in the Moab area.

Quote: I stopped in at the Richfield FO about a month ago, and asked for
status of their "Travel Plan". Was informed, with disgust at the
delay, that Sue-ya had their approved (Notice of Decision) RMP tied up
in a lawsuit, so travel plan maps were not available.

I know in the case of the Price FO, they are not going to produce any maps or do any signage on the 2008 RMP until a decision is made on the lawsuit.

I am pretty sure that all the travel plan maps for Moab are available on the Moab FO's website. They also have maps you can look at in the office, but I don't think they have any to give out. The lawsuit obviously has not stopped Moab BLM from signing the trails. In fact, I am told that they should have the major routes "substantially completed" within another month or two. At that time, they will consider applications for new routes.

Kanab, Monticello, and Moab have good, clear maps on their websites. The others either don't have maps or they are so poor of quality as to be useless on the ground.
