Rock Crawling and Off-Road Events—Date & Location?

I recently retired to my home state of Utah after serving in the Air Force for 22-years. During that time, my boys and I have enjoyed watching the Rock Crawling competitions via DVD videos but have not had the opportunity to attend in person due to primarily being stationed in overseas locations. Now that we are in Utah, I would love to begin attending the various competitions as a spectator with hope to participate in the near future. However, I have failed to find any type of schedule, calendar, or events forecast outlining when competitions are being held and where.

Is there any type of calendar, schedule, or events website that may identify when and where various Rock Crawling and Off-Road Challenges may be held in Northern, Central, and/or Southern Utah? How does one find out about all the opportunities to observe as well as participate? Any and all help you could possibly provide would sincerely be appreciated. Thank you!

Welcome home! and thank you for your service! WE Rock has pretty much become the governing body for most rock crawl events. XRRA is the govn body for rock racing. This site is your best bet for events in Utah. WE Rock has held a crawl in Cedar City for the last few years but that event has already happened this year. Some guys from this site put on the old Skool crawl at the Miller Motorsports Park, but you just missed that event too. The next WE Rock event is in Reno, NV June 17-20 and should be the biggest event of the year including two more crawls in addition to the WE Rock event in 4 days.

The Old School Rock Crawling was hosted by Craig Stumph Racing, and was held at the Millard County Fairgrounds in Delta. It has become an annual event so keep your eyes open for it next May.

The best thing to do for other comps is to check out the W.E. Rock and XRRA websites to check their calender of events.

There are a lot of local activities going on this year as well. There is an Xtreme Offroad Show in Manti on June 20th.

And the U4WDA is having there summer convention in Richfield this summer.

Come check out the Teraflex Plus All-Jeep Show on June 6th at Miller Motorsports Park. It's no rockcrawling competition, but it's a start! Unfortunately I think you may have missed the most active rockcrawling competition years. There was a lot of interest a few years ago, and big crowds attended some of the competitions, but mismanagement has all but killed the sport.
