Damn.... I'm jealous. I'm going to order the same thing in a couple o months. How long did it take to get them? How much with shipping? Looks sweet.
what are the rings made out of? They almost look kinda brass like 
I know there not but it looks wierd. So if you run a bead on your beads (lol) in 1.5" lengths to avoid warping, how big of a pita is it to weld a complete bead thats leak proof? I think merging the two beads together would cause pinhole leaks. But I have never welded for air tight either Here is my crack head comment too. I don't get how just the beadlock ring on the outside really does any good. I'd think it would just force the bead to the rear and thats where it would pop off. Is the ring now "permenent? If not maybe I didn't get what you welded. Ok I admit it I don't know shish about beadlocks

The normal rings are about $280 for a set of four plus shipping.
They took about a week to get here because he had to machine the counter sunk holes. But they actually only took about 2 days to ship from Colorado!

.25" steel. Probably looks like brass because my shop lights suck. It's not too hard get a good leak proof weld, but sometimes those welds will suprise you.
I thought about the inside bead thing before... think of an off-camber climb, the tires on the low side are carrying most of the weight of the rig which is pushing against the outside bead inward. On the uphill side, there isn't enough weight to pull the inner bead off. I'll try to find a picture to illustrate this point...

How long did it take to get them on your wheels? Was it as much of a PITA to torque them as it looks?

Nice!! Welcome to the world of torquing 144 bolts....Do the Rockstomper one recomend retorquing every 1000 mile or once a month if you drive it on the road?

I happen to know of a local distributor for the DIY beadlock rings. Let me think, who could that be?...
BTW, although the "coning" is not a big deal, theres a trick to keep this from happening. By using the correct length/width fan belt and installing it on the inside of the bolts, it will give even support to the ring. At the same time it will keep water and debris away from your bolt threads.

Honestly, the cost would be the same as if you purchased them through Rockstomper. You choose between paying shipping or sales tax (which would be slightly cheaper). Being able to pick them up same day has it's advantages too.
All rings we have sold so far have been the non-couter sunk version and none have opted for us to supply hardware.
I will get pricing for the counter sunk rings ASAP. Rockstomper's prices include hardware. I'll be inquiring about a price for the ring only.
