What are you guys using to wrap the roll bar padding on your cages? A long time ago I bought some from Mepco and has lasted years, just kind of wondering what else there is.

Absolutely nothing. Personal bias, but I hate wrapped pad.

This last go-round I spent too much money on the nicer stuff, and I actually like it a lot. Much less obtrusive than the cheap foam stuff, and more durable. Plus, since it's not all the way around the tube, it doesn't get scraped off constantly.

It's the expensive stuff here.

I cut mine up into thirds, and placed the ~1' sections strategically where my head could possibly come into contact with the tube.

Try the Rapz(?) sp...that Mepco has. Doesn't need tape. Just has the foam, and a neoprene cover that velcros to itself. Best looking and very durable.

Well times are a changing... All Mepco has is some Red Tape and I need black... 4Wheel Parts can order it but,,,,,$$$..

I will try another route.

I used the ridiculously expensive Summit Racing stuff too. I won't be going back to anything else any time soon, it's good padding. The only drawback is that when it hits 117 degrees, the adhesive melts and the stuff falls off. Only time it's ever done that. It stays on in 105 mile per hour wind :D .

I just use the plumbing wrap from home depot. Not great looking, but it works. Paid 10 bucks for 20 ft.

I used that plumbing stuff to. I have a roll cage, the insul came up 1/2 short. so I put the gap on top and wraped it all in yellow duct tape. looks ok, but the tape is drying out and starting to crack.
