Rollcage with 1.75X0.095 seamless tube??

I have a bunch of seamless 1.75x0.095 tubing and was wondering if i could build a full buggy out of it, or will it not work? I know that everyone builds out of 0.120 but will the 0.095 work if the cage is designed right?
Any insight would be helpfull

I wouldn't... Mostly because ive bent .120 dom like its a tooth pick. But if I did, I would be sure to make the main supports and frame rails out of something heavier and use the .095 for other things.. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure (correct me if im wrong) in the race car world .095 1.75 inch Dom is the standard(minimum requirement) for roll cages

I'm pretty sure race cars must use cromo. Then It could be that thin.

I think an interior cage would be fine with .095, with the original roof and pillars for support. But anywhere it would get dented, Im not so sure.

Lots of light weight off road buggies are made of .095 wall. I'm talking about class 1/2 1600 cars, class 12 cars, some class 10 cars. We are talking about buggies that weigh around 2000 pounds, and are not intended to be beat up on the rocks.
I think in areas that only see tension/compression forces the .095 wall stuff works great. In areas that will see bending or crushing forces it doesn't fair so well. For a rock buggy I would want thicker tube used in any location that is likely to come in contact with the rocks. For areas of bracing and triangulation the thinner tube is great.

Ultra4 cars and I think WEROCK can't be that thin. After seeing the Lovell's buggy after the crash at Miller, I am inclined to think maybe larger/thicker tubes would be even smarter.

a buddy of mine used it for an interior cage in his xj and i fully support it since a lot of people have rolled xj's and walked away with scratches and bruises. i would prefer .120 for any bent pieces/main structure but the .095 should be fine for straight pieces/bracing IMO

that being said, i wouldn't build a whole buggy out of it because even if it was free it'd really suck to have it fail and just have to rebuild it with .120 anyways

If it was chromoly id say yes, but dom... no anywhere it sees rock hits it will den super easy. For an interior cage on a VW bug: sure
