I'm playing with Rig Rater .. I know everything but the belly height.

Would someone please give me an estimate of what I will end up with?

cj7, 4 link, coil over suspension, 39" iroks, atlas 4speed - suspension/custom welding done by mount logan

Thanks

What an overrated moronic program...

There is no such thing as some magical oracle for a perfect rig...give me a break. Disconnect the internet and go back to the garage.

I think that Spen hit on the head, the program was most likely written with bias, and is based on the programer(s) perception of what is the perfect rig.

Your RigRater Score:
633RRv1.0
Your Break-Over Angle (BOA) is 28.89 degrees!

So is this good or bad?
Seems this was written in 09/01/01 with no eaton elocker and/or electrac options for my axles.

not really
I was not able to include the lockers, and it is a freaking 4cyl yj SOA on 44's 4wheel disk 35's, and all the little misc garb that they ask for at the end.

Only thing that I included that is not yet installed are the rocker guard/sliders that are in route and hope to have installed before Moab on Thanksgiving

3. So, is my score good?

Ok great...you've got a number that you can brag about. But what does it really mean? How good is it? Well, honestly, we're not telling! The real answer is we just don't know yet. Once we have enough valid information, we'll take a look at things and put a scale to it. For now, you'll just have to ask around for other people's scores and see how they compare!

this is straight from their site, 32767 number did not change after I completed my rig, I would not put much value into this, especially since it was written back in 2001 seems a lot has changed in this sport since then.

reading the FAQ seems that it boils down to how well built/prepared you are.
seems like they collect all the data, but there is no way to compare rig to rig on their site.
appears to be ran by JeepAholics

Computer geek trivia
... this is straight from their site, 32767 number did not change after I completed my rig...

In the computer world, 32767 is one of those special numbers … I can tell in a glance that the guy used a “short” typed integer for the counter. And to make things worse, he appears to have used a “signed short”. An unsigned short has a maximum value of 65535 (0xffff). You have likely heard the term “64k” which is actually 1024 * 64 or 65536 . (0x400 * 0x40 = 0x10000). Why one off, because 0 is the first digit not 1. Now a signed short can only represent ½ that much as a positive value (32767 or 0x7fff – the MSB is the sign bit).

So what does all this mean? It means we have no idea how many people have really taken it, as the counter is maxed out. We also can assume that 32k (32768) people rating their rig is A LOT, in a fairly limited enthusiast area. So what does this mean? It likely means that the stupid program is broken and the value is useless … as well as, so I have now learned the hardway … the program.

So all is well with the world! (yea yea, off the computer, into the garage I go)

so based on this the only way to tell how good the number is, I have to ask mbryson or others as I come across them 'What all have you done to your ride?'.
My guess is it all boils down to how much junk you have bolted to your ride.

I have seen Chris's rig. I also watched some vid's you guys posted of the recent Delta run. Saw Chris on chainsaw, and knew his value. Also saw the Helldorado clip ... just assumed that knowing the number of some of those rigs would give me a feel for the capablity of the rig I'm trying to put together

I think it's more driver than rig, though certainly the truck helps.

Actually I'm trying to outbuild my lack of skillz. We'll see how it goes LOL

When I saw the last page, should have know ... lights, jack, CB, knitting sweater, driving gloves, etc.

Would hope the heavy weight in the algorythm would be things like 14 bolt, 10.5" gear with full carrier detroit. The accessories seems to trivialize it, unless they have a very low weight.
