Did anybody hear or feel that strange rumble yesterday? I forgot about it until I saw this article:
http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/news/55595614-78/felt-lake-salt-utah.html.csp?utm_source=twitterfeed

The article says it happened in the evening, but I felt/heard it around 12:45-1:00 PM three times.

I was walking into Smiths and I felt what seemed like a shockwave and a rumble from the West mountain range. I then noticed it two more times within that hour.

Weird.

-edit: some of the comments in the article are talking about the ones I noticed earlier in the day too.

Interesting.

I heard and felt something like this about a week ago while walking my dog along Legacy Parkway. It was loud enough and I felt it so clearly that I was really surprised not to hear anything about it on the news or anything.

I heard it last night three times. Sounded like thunder a long way away. Makes you wonder what they REALLY have going in and out of HAFB at night.

I don't think I heard anything out of the norm but I might've....did the ground or walls shake?

Around 9'ish one of the dishes on the stove clattered, I thought it was ghosts being jerks but maybe it was the rumble

I read this somewhere else too. The B-52 story could be a good cover for a secret project flying around. Seems strange to be "testing" such an old plane.

Several years ago a very large runway was constructed at Dugway Proving Ground. The people that were working on it (Granite Construction) were told it was for a possible space shuttle emergency landing. Never made any sense to me with the scheduled end of the program so near.

Hehe, my squadron is flying up from Vegas and using the range up there. 2000 bombs make a little rumble some times.

I've seen some huge explosions out on the range (and felt them when I was on the lake) but I don't think we've ever felt them all the way down in the valley.
