samurai power steering

i have a buddy runnin a sammy on 33s and locked in the front with no power steering. I was wonderin what you sammy guys were doin for power steering cuz its a pain to turn the damn thing

I run a saginaw pump and fj60 steering box. DuaL V belt pulley off a sprint, I have about 75 bucks into mine including hoses

Kits are also available from online vendors for a Celica box and pump (Getting hard to find) and also Sidekick/Tracker power steering components.

I used the Sidekick setup on mine for years. Worked okay with 35's, as long as the ARB was not engaged. With the front diff locked, no way could I turn on slickrock. My wife's sammy had the celica box and pump, and in my opinion was not as good as the sidekick stuff. I'm now using an FJ-60 box in mine (37's, D44, Detroit), and a Toyota IFS box in hers (35's, Lock-Right, toy axles). We are both using the PSC pump from Spidertrax and Rock-Logic hydro assist. They both work great, but a big reservoir and cooler are mandatory.
