samurai steering?

took my 87 sami into les schwab yesterday to get an alignment done since I just swapped axles and its alittle off but they said I need a new pitman arm because where the joint that goes into the 3" drop pitman is loose. do you guys think its probably just new steering rods needed or a drop pitman arm? some buddies have told me that they have never heard of the pitman arm going bad like that.

Anyone also have spare stock samurai steering parts they would sell me on the cheap?

Is the joint part of the pitman arm like they are on Toyotas, or does the pitman arm just have a tapered hole?

The arm could certainly be bad if the joint was loose, and wallowed the hole out... Or, the splines at the sector shaft end can go bad if that nut is loose.

sean at lowrange just told me theres a tapered stud there. I still need to take the time and look down there.
