San Rafael Swell

A group of us is going to ride the Swell in January. We're meeting at Miller's Convenience store on Friday Jan. 10 at 1400 and I'm thinking we'll head back Sunday evening. Right now we're thinking Castle Dale to Little Grand Canyon overlook then through Buckhorn Draw, beneath 80 to Temple Mountain then back north to 80 and Black Dragon and across to the west side, maybe Moore cutoff and Rochester Panel.

I’ve never ran that, how built does a rig need to be?

I’m interested. Possibly in!

I don't think we're going to do anything too technical. The worst thing we could come up against would be deep snow or "gumbo" mud that sticks to your tires. Also might be cold.

Update: It's coming together and we're looking at between 6 and 8 vehicles. First day will be Wedge and Buckhorn Draw but we haven't decided where to go from there.
