Which trails are you talking about? Would it be some trails like the Sand Hollow overlook and Zens trail. I have just seen some gps tracks online for these trails. That would be great. Thanks
I dont know those trails
I am refering to 5 plus rated trails
sliplock/johns trail/ upper and lower west rim/fault line/play ground

What days are you going to be out running those trails? Do any of those trails leave from Sand Hollow? We will have to stay in touch. Thanks.
How well would a Grand Cherokee 4" lift with 32" tires locked front and rear do on the trails you are talking about?

all the trails I'm talking about are on the west rim, we will be leaving from the staging area on washington dam road.
32 inch tires and both lockers will do fine.
i used to run all those trails with 31 inch tires and front locker only.
i will be out there all weekend

I have a few questions about the Sand Hollow area. Can you access the west rim, fault line and those trails from the sand hollow side? Or do you trailer over to the washington dam trail head and access them there? From the looks of the map and google earth you can get to the middle of the trail systems from the S.H side. any info would be great. thanks

yes you can get to the west rim from sandhollow........But why would you? ..... :)

I have not ran any of that country. I am camping at sand hollow and was curious If could get to those trail from that side. What is your opinion is it better to go around and start at the dam trail head? Or get on those trails from the S.H side?

we'll be heading down as well with our group of three white xj's. i've never wheeled the area but i'm super excited to. the only thing that worries me is that everyone says the trails are notoriously hard to find. if anyone could point me in the right direction for a good online resource for trail maps, gps coordinates etc or just give me some advice on here i would appreciate it. i'm hoping there is enough stuff to entertain our group's build level. we're all on 33's, i'm locked f/r and they're both locked in the rear only. we made it through pritchett last month with a strap for just a couple obstacles

I found GPX files for allot of the trails in this area on the South west Crawl Fest website, under trails. I am not sure if they are current, because I have not been in this area before. Maybe one of the local guys will give you some better info. Are you guys camping near Sand Hollow?

i saw that stuff but i'll have to look at it on my home computer, my work pc doesn't like it. the rockcrew.org site has some info too but it's mainly hardcore stuff it looks like.

we're going to be staying at my friend's dad's vacation home in hurricane... way better than camping, especially the free part :p

you can take the turf sod road from sand hollow to the west rim side it's just a dirt road you don't have to go all the way arround
