I'm driving to Las Vegas on Monday and don't have to be there until 6pm so I thought I would take off early and swing into Sand Hollow for a couple of hours on the way. I've never been there and am wondering if there is any "quicker" trails I can run. I don't want anything too hard but want to have some fun. I have a 2024 Wrangler 392 XR and am fairly experienced but I'll be alone. I have trailsoffroad that has a few trails listed but want to get ideas from people that have been there.

Thanks in advance!

West Rim is a fun scenic trail, few easy obstacles. Once you get near the top little play area with a bunch of climbs. Then you can snake over towards top of the world mess in the sand with the V8, go check out flinstone house or just bomb down the center of the dunes.

I just looked at the West rim on the app and it says it is 3 hours one way which is probably longer than I want but it looks fun so I think I'll just drive down it a ways and then turn around.

Thanks for the suggestion!

I think that’s a gross over estimate. Even going slow can’t imagine more than an hour.

Don’t know where your app shows starting from either. If you start at the water tanks and cruise up should be sub hour. Be able to bomb down the sand from top of the world in about 15 min

Definitely start at the water tanks.

Trails off-road doesn't mention water tanks it just says there is a kiosk and an outhouse at the start so I'm not sure where it begins. I just press head to trail head on the app and it takes me there.

I figure they always say it takes longer. You can especially go faster when you're alone.

Thanks again for helping me out.

You don’t have to enter the State Park to run those trails, just FYI. The trails are free as long as you don’t enter the park side. You will want a safety flag, though.

Water Tanks are here, south of the turnoff for Sand Hollow State Park:

That’s paved now, with a large parking lot.

That's good to know that it's free. Thanks for the reminder to throw in my flag.

This is what the map looks like. It starts at the "1"

Looks more or less starting from the tanks. without seeing it in more detail. Either way like you said you can turn around if you’re running low on time. Pretty much instantly rewarded with views.

Best whoops in the area on the road leading away from the water tanks if you want to test your suspension and HP 😂
