We are heading up to Sand Hollow (from Vegas) for a week to do some wheeling. We will have the in-laws with us, so we need some scenic stuff. Are there any scenic trails that lead out of Sand Hollow? I am familiar with the AZ Strip, but is there anything else? Old mining stuff, etc?

Trail maps??

Any info would help, thanks...

When are you coming down?? What do you drive? I will be going out Friday and camping then running a trail saturday as well. These are 4+ rated trails though. You can get in through sand hollow and follow the trails out there all day....just have to have a flag.

I'm sure you talked to D-rail and the rest of the Vegas folks that came up for the Southwest Crawl Fest. I don't know about the scenic stuff, but the harder stuff was great! I went back down for the Winter on the Rocks event 2 weeks later. The Utah4x4club.com site has a lot of the guys that put on the event (not to say there aren't a lot of them here too :) ).

Easy Rick and the comp guys know about Arrowhead Canyon. Good luck finding the scenic trails. I think that was the one complaint about SWCF, not enough easy to mid range trails. I know the main dirt and sand road that goes back to most of the trails we ran was incredibly scenic with overlooks of St. George and the reservoir in Sand Hollow... and drop offs of a few hundred feet! :eek2:

Come on, bring Junior and Git 'R Done!

Both Events ran the same trails!

But your right in the fact that there are more Utah 4x4 guys that know the scenic trails! Some of them also frequent here so you should get the assistance you need if not please give me a call and i will hook you up with someone who knows Thanks Steve!435-215-4516:)

when are you going to be here............

Thanks guys for all your info! Looks like we will be going to a different location due to the lack of scenic stuff. Trust me, I love the rocks, but this trip we have both sets of parents with us. I don't think they will do too well on rocks :( . Maybe soon we will get to Sand Hollow.

there are a group of the utah 4x4 guys including myselft going out saturday afternoon and possibly again on sunday. we live here and know all the trails
