So I bought a torch setup from craigslist and needed some schooling.
- First, it came with a Victor handle and cutoff tool but it seems to be larger than any I have ever worked with. I looked at Harbor Freight (was there for some castors) and all there welding tips were much smaller (the thread size) So my question is: What do I have? Is it a heavy duty model? Is there a large and small size?
- Second, I am mostly going to use this for cutting things but want to play with welding also. I noticed there are different tips (0, 1, 2, etc) If I wanted to weld thin stuff like muffler what tip do I need? And if I wanted to weld 1/4" what tip would I need?
I learned to weld at Master Muffler years ago but the torches were just there, set-up and ready to use so I didn't learn a whole lot about set-up etc.
Anyway, any help will be appreciated.
