It was already on my watch list.

If it stays below $750, it's worth it for the diesel motor and parts. But it's not an original diesel Scout.

True but still cool. Is that the same nissan engine model that was original?

Yes, it's a Nissan built SD33. I've been looking for a diesel Scout as a daily driver for a while. I saw a really nice one in Kansas City, but it was too high at $10,000. There's one in Provo for $1000, but it's too low quality for what I want. I need something that's just right.

My in laws have a 79 with a chevy 6.3 diesel in it. Man its a sweetheart, it runs so good and he gets 20+ around town and about 26 on the freeway!

Crazy, I thought that the diesel scouts were all 4 bangers- didn't realize they used the nissan six.
