Scrap prices

I scraped the 87 Mustang I bought a couple of months ago for the HO motor for the Troll. I took it to MCR recycling in Orem. Holy buckets!! I asked why they were so busy. She said, scrap price is up. Hell, she wasn't kidding! $190.00 a ton!!! I've personally never been paid that before. I walked away with $325.00 for the car and the ugly aluminum wheels that were on it. I only paid the guy $600.00 for the car to start with.
And after I sold parts off it and the scrap money. I ended up paying $145.00 for an HO motor that looks on the inside to have been gone through recently. WOOO HOOO!!!

I kept the best part. The body was in pretty bad shape.

4.94 badge doesn't look as cool as a 5.0 but a killer engine regardless! I miss my 86 5.0 badly, however my 2003 supercharged cobra fills in nicely. (especially with only 8k miles)

I'd like to have a row of fox body mustangs. Good investment.

Exactly. The popularity of good mustangs (pretty much everything except '74-'78) will last a long time.

the late 80's were not good to the american sports car stylistically speaking.
Maybe the Corvette but everything else was just ho hum.
