Hello, I recently bought an old Funco SS2 desert race car and I am trying to document its history. These car have become very desirable in Vintage Baja racing and dominated desert racing in the '70's. The person I bought this car from didn't know anything about it other than he bought it from someone in Utah. I am hoping someone here may recognize the car and put me in touch with the previous Utah owner. Please note that the person I bought it from painted it red but when he bought it from the Utah guy it was silver with redish mist. I hope someone will remember this old racer. We are restoring it for next year's NORRA Mexican 1000 and would love to know it history.
