In the monthly union paper at the place of my employment they have it full of articles all along these same lines and flat out stating that Obama is the one and only to make all the unions philosophies come to fruition, all the conservatives are dropping out but the majority are conservatives and rely on the free ride the union provides or promises to provide.

Gee, I seem to recall I have read this all someplace before...
Hasn't worked since 1848, isn't going to work now. Its a group of extremist dreaming about their version of Utopia. And I'll admit, a lot of what Marx and Engles said sounds pretty good. Hell, a lot of the stuff that got them all riled up a hundred and sixty years ago is gone now. We have defined work hours, child labor laws and safe, clean working conditions. I call those all wins!
But to think that a couple of hard core, committed communists or "community organizers" are going to be able to rally enough of the population to do what you outline is hogwash. And all this, "Obama is secretly a pinko commie trying to undermine the US!" is just flat out crazy. We still have a functioning republican government that is a long way from being colluded into the communist camp. If we want to go down this road, lets start talking about all those bible thumping tea party backed whack jobs that got elected the last go around. Thats every bit as scary as the community organizers.

To place this quote in context; remember that Khrushchev is the one who denounced Stalin and the revolutionary rhetoric that when along with him. Once Khrushchev climbed to the top of the Party in 1957 he was bound and determined to have peaceful coexistence with the west and reform the USSR from a militaristic society to a functional, peaceful socialist alternative to what he saw as the oppressive capitalist west. His "New Look" foreign policy followed this. No longer was he looking to stoke the flames of revolution, but rather subtly suggest that there was a better alternative, as the above statement suggests.
Obviously he failed, and the Soviet Union failed. But he was correct in one respect, every rich democracy has slowly added more and more socialism to the mix. Is that bad? Depends on your ideology. Is it going to lead us down the path to destruction? Probably not. Europe, for all its problems, ain't half bad and they have a hell of a lot more socialism in the water than over here.

Recent media reports suggest that the former director of the Service Employees International Union’s (“SEIU”) banking and finance campaign has threatened to seriously endanger the welfare of the United States. In a forum at Pace University earlier this month, Stephen Lerner, the former SEIU official, revealed a “secret plan” to “cause a new financial crisis . . . destroy J.P. Morgan . . . and weaken Wall Street’s grip on power” by using “civil disobedience” to create “the conditions necessary for a redistribution of wealth and a change in government.”

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”) defines terrorism as “the unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.”

The escalation of Mr. Lerner’s threats would clearly constitute domestic terrorism and pose substantial harm to the American people and the economy. I am therefore requesting that you investigate Mr. Lerner’s terrorist plans and notify me how the Department of Justice plans to respond to these threats.

The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is the principal oversight committee of the House of Representatives and may at “any time” investigate “any matter” as set forth in House Rule X. An attachment to this letter provides additional information about responding to the Committee’s request.

Guess folks much smarter than me see this for what it is as well. Truth has no agenda.

This is a letter from a Representative siting his view that what the SEIU want to do is wrong (I'm not debating that the SEIU is crazy, they are), but this is hardly what I would call "truth".
Again, if you really have cold hard facts that a dictatorship of the proletarian is about to be established in the US, please provide us with them. Until then, like every sensationalized, fear mongering article like this that has come up since the Red Scare of the 1920's, I'll just take it with a grain of salt and wait to see what happens.
Of course, as the Manifesto dictates, the Revolution should happen in one of the worlds most industrialized nations...
