So, I've been getting ready for the annual Best In The Desert Laughlin, NV. event (motorcycle only event w/ no ATV's, buggies, trucks). What sets this one apart from the "Vegas to Reno" and "Baja" type races is the really tight and technical course. With gnarly loose climbs, big rocks, evil cactus, and very little room to pass, you waste more energy wrestling your bike around than most other races.
Anyway, after dabbling in trophy truck racing a bit, Jesse James (you know, of Monster Garage & West Coast Choppers fame) has entered the Ironman Expert class (for those that don't know, "Ironman" simply means that you're riding solo).

I'm on a 3-man team where I'll be riding 4 of the 6 loops (each loop is approx. 25 miles), but I get to take a break when a teammates is on the bike, and thats damn hard enough as it is...
After doing this race last year, I hope 'ol Jesse is in extrememly good shape. Even if he is in good shape, its gonna be brutal.
I'll let ya'll know how he does, but if he can just finish, he's a bada$$...
