I recently saw a 70 Series truck at Proffitt Cruisers... good lord, I was ready to sell my soul for that thing! It was beautiful!

I think that is the same one that was a feature vehicle in The Overland Journal. I was drooling for days over it! A 70 series quad cab is my ultimate dream rig!

I have a 33 12.5 15 you can have greg, it has maybe 1/4" tread.....

BFG A/T? If so, I may have to take you up on that... thanks!

I haven't seen the feature, but if it was owned by Jeremiah then it was probably the same one. I'd be happy with a factory solid axle, diesel Hi-Lux 4 Door.

The Cherokee would be perfect for stuff like this, that roof top tent would be great for your family too. The mattress in our model is bigger than a Calif. King. :D The guy I bought it from claimed he used with himself, his wife & 2 kids.

Looks like a fun trip greg.. how long did it take to get from Rabbit Valley to the end of Top of the world?

We left Fruita at 8 AM, we made good time, but stopped for pics often enough. By the time we made it to the end of Top of the World, it was probably after 4 PM, so about 8+ hrs, with the backtracking. That caused us to loose at least an hour or more. If you took the Cisco Pumphouse road right up to Cisco, then down 128 to Dewey Bridge you'd save a good deal of time.

We did the Rose Garden Hill, Koko, and Top of the world in August but in the opposite direction. We have almost the same set of pictures with my jeep going the other direction. Fun area and after the rain storms Rose Garden is quite rocky. I left some BFG AT chuncks on Rose Garden but luckily I didn't blow a tire like you did.

Awesome!I need to do that trail. Was there anyspots that a Suburban wouldn't fit?
And that's the reason that I hate BFG's for wheeling.I have seen too many cut the sidewall.I love my swampers for offroad.I have ran them on heavy Suburbans on many trails and NEVER cut a tire.

There's a few spots that a big Suburban would get pretty sketchy. My FJ80 is wide and it wasn't too tight, but a Suburban is a good deal wider. Both of those spots are pictured, with the big rocks that we're passing by.

I really like BFG AT's, I think they're a great 50/50 tire. If you would have seen the rock that took out the sidewall I think you'd understand. I accidentially laid all the weight of the vehicle against that rock, on the sidewall. I don't think there's many radial tires would have survived. It was totally my fault, I should have done a better job thinking about where my rear tires were tracking, but I was concentrating on where I was point the Landcrusier.

That said, I'm somewhat interested in the 35x10.5x17 SSR's. ;)
