Shears...........?

Looking for a cheeeper shear for cutting 16 gage aluminum and plastic. Has anyone used this one from HF?

I've used the pneumatic shears from HF extensively, they work great. I don't think I'd waste my money on the electric version, even if it is cheaper.

Typically an air-powered tool will be less expensive than the equivalent electric tool, since there's sorta less in 'em. With that considered, the quality of that electric one becomes apparent.

A "good" set of electric shears will be over $100.

Hey Shawn,
I started doing tin with that type of shear and really liked it until I bought a Snap On one-best investment I ever made- The blades stay sharp and don't gouge the leading edge of the piece your cutting. If you need something- Call me!

It's in the latest mailer for $29.99. These really don't compare to the Snap-on that Holmer refers to, but they are cheap.

16 CFM!!! that's for the inline shear. must be a typo or something. the pistol grip's 4 CFM sounds more practical.

I've have a Dewalt 14.4 volt and it works great. that is if you want a cordless.

That's the one I've got. Works great. Most of what I cut with it is just polycarbonate though.

Got my Milwaukee out of the back of some guy's truck (imagine that ). I've only used it once, but I don't think I could live without it. You're welcome to come borrow it if you'd like though.

Shawn, Check around, the HF add that you threw away had a 20% coupon on front of it. I would give you my add but it would cost you more in gas to drive out to Riverton to get it. Maybe they even have the 20% coupon at the store.
