I know that 3/8" is pretty much standard right? Well I have been trying to find the right external fuel pump for my TBI 4.3L and I have found a few different part numbers...

First is the E8153-its a universal TBI pump, its a solenoid type pump flows 35 GPH Wide Open and puts out 10-14 PSI it has 3/8" fittings and runs $57.99

Second is the E8094-its a universal GM TBI pump, its a rollervane type pump (same as the famous E2000:D) flows 45-50 GPH Wide Open puts out 12-17 PSI and has 5/16 fittings and runs $125.99

Third is the E3158-its for 88-93 Chevy and GMC trucks, its a Solenoid type pump flows 35 GPH Wide Open and puts out 9.5-14 PSI dont know the size of fittings and runs $74.99

Fourth is the E3540-its for 99-2001 Chevy and GMC trucks, its a solenoid type pump flows 25-35 GPH Wide Open and puts out 8-12 PSI dont know the fittings and runs $86.99

Fifth is the E8012S-its a universal TBI pump, its a solenoid type flows 30 GPH Wide Open puts out 5-9 PSI and has 5/16 fittings and runs $39.99

Now my question is this, which pump would you guys reccomend and would it be alright to run 5/16 fuel lines??? I really like the 8012S because I can almost buy two for the price of any of the others...so what do you guys think...one more positive about the 8012S is that it is kept in stock at most parts stores where the others are all special orders...

Sounds like you have all the info you need to make the decision, so I'll just chime in with this:

I'm running the E8153, it works fine. I also have an E8012S that I used for a troubleshooting session, that I carry as a spare. It worked fine when I used it also.

You already know mine's a TBI 4.3....is yours TBI too? (I'm assuming so)

So yours ran fine on a 5/16 fuel line...that is my only concern really...if that is acceptable then I will go with the 8012S...yep mine is a TBI...

thanks...

BTW, Off Topic but what is the dimensions of that little battery you guys were telling me about down in farmington...I am wondering if two will fit on a stock wrangler battery tray...

I'd be surprised if two would fit in the stock tray, they're only a little bit smaller than the larger version. The big one is 10 1/4" long, 7" wide, 8 3/16" tall. The small one is 9 1/16" long, 6 7/8" wide, 8 3/16" tall.
