You people are crazy!

I have never had the desire to jump out of a airplane. Ive done my share of crazy crap in my day but that crosses the line.

Good Luck!

I have been, I went out on the way to 5 mile, I did AFF my first time, It was pretty cool. Fastest 45 seconds of your life, The chute ride from the time you pull is alot of fun. About 10 seconds after you touch the ground safe you will get the biggest rush of your life! Make sure you get a video of it.

I would go if I didn't have to be strapped to some dude...

lol wow.

I don't know which is more awkward...
Jumping out of an airplane strapped to a dude, or being too scared to jump out of an airplane because you'd be strapped to a dude.

Well I went and got it over with. The story behind this is my girlfriend like to do something new like sky diving once a year every year. I wasn't really wanting to go due to money issues, but since she said she was not planning on ever going againl, this was my chance. We arrived at the erda airport at 11 for our appointment. You watch a cheesy video for about 20 minutes, then fill out a crazy waiver. A waiver that covers stuff like you will not sue if you land in a water hazard, trees, bushes, dirt clods, antennas, poisonous snakes, unpredictable cattle and dogs, all which were pretty funny I thought.

You then get suited up and your tandem partner sets up your harness which looked pretty damn uncomfortable to me when strapped down. Well everyone else gets strapped down like a hospital patient and my guy just leaves mine pretty loose and thell me he will do it later:ugh: We get on the plane and after not subtley moving my loose ass harness back and forth he tightens it down with about 2 minutes before we jump. When it was time to jump the plexiglass wind door of the plane slides up and there is really about 10 seconds from scooting down the bench when your strapped to the instructor, until you jump out. Maybe 3 seconds at the door.

It was crazy, you free fall for over 45 seconds, the only downside is you are over tooele so:-\ but you are going about 110-120 mph, face just whipping in the breeze. The parachute opens and in at least my case, a huge sigh of relief. My instructor let me steer the parachute towards the airport landing zone for about 80 % of the way which was cool. Definantly glad thats over with though, probably not going to do it again, especially for the money

If you get a group together, there's a discount on the price. I've done it in Oregon, Tooele, and Vegas. Definitely a great time! Worth it! I haven't gone solo yet but def will one of these days! My wife has gone with me 2 of my 3 times!
