ok here is my new buggy build.

Yes it is super small, but i think everything should fit. i have been measuring for almost a month and contemplating drivtrains for as long too.

the motoris being supplied with a A341e bell housing as well as oil pump and input shaft, these parts are off of the stock ls400 transmission, the idea here is going to be to swap bellhousings and input shafts, this making it able to bolt up to the 1uz. now this would normally not work because the A340H has 3 selinoinds and the stock tranny has four. so if you were going to run this on the street or want the transmission to be controled by the ECU you would have to trick it in to thinking it had four. not to worry here, the motor will be controlled via a standalone harness made by me :) and the tranny willbe converted into a MV i will use the "baja shifter" by RADesign.
bajashift.jpg

this alows manual shifting of each gear up or down, i might use it in conjunction with the rock shifter he has, it is used to replace the stock shifter. sine i dont have a stock shifted yet this might be the ticket. so that takes care of the tranny....oh wait not even close!! haha i am going to have to buy this kit from inchwormgear

this kit will alow me to remove the stupid hydrolic controled "tcase" actually more like a second transmission. and replace it with a gear driven one.

I meant that buggy as it was in it's previous incarnation. :)

Was your last buggy a rear engine?

That's going to be awesome Nick, I love the direction you're headed with the build. That 1UZFE is a killer engine, it's going to be a rocket in such a small buggy! I'll be watching the build thread closely, can't wait to see it come along.

How wide is that chassis? Looks like it's only around 40" or so?! :freak: I love the idea of a mini-buggy. ;)
