Small A/C unit repair

I have a small window mount a/c cooler for our trailer. I bought this new last year and its already giving me fits. Last week while using it. The compressor sounds like it's not turning on. Anybody have experience on these???
I now have 2 these sitting on my bench, so I thought id give it a shot to fix it instead of buying another new one.

Most window units are not serviceable. They usually don't even have valves to add or remove refrigerant.

Looking at a couple YouTube videos. They have put on a piercing valve on and recharged it that way.
I'll start taking apart my newest one and see if I can find out why the pump isnt turning on. Maybe a loose/broken wire.

I put my older unit up on the beach to check it out. Plugged it in and works but compressor never kicked in.
Using a flashlight, looking through the side vents I saw the cooler line had broken off just an inch before the rear radiator. Therefore no Freon in the system.
I'm guessing the vibration of the compressor caused this. :-(
One down and one to go.
