Smithfield Ponds 1,2.....4?

sawtooth4x4

Totally Awesome
How many ponds? 3 I think. Maybe a forth that dried out.

Anyway nice day trip. Even though the valley was filled with forest fire smoke, the top was fairly clear.

Made it all the way to the end of the trail.

This is coming back up the switch backs at the end.

Nice, man. Had plans panned out, and our kids cooperated, buddy and I plus families would have seen you up there. Instead ended up over in your neck of the woods at Kays Creek Parkway trail.

Growing up in Smithfield....I'm confused by "Smithfield Ponds"

Cool stuff, though

Speaking to a couple locals from Morgan that have lived here for 50 plus years...they don't call them Smithfield Ponds. Can't for the life of me remember the name my friend said though.

Smith Creek Lakes. I think this thread is actually the first time I've ever heard them called Smithfield. Smith Creek Lakes is the actual name, we have always called them Smith Ponds.

Smith Creek. The fourth one usually only has water in it during the run off. They are fun to camp near if your in Davis Co and want a quick place to go for an overnighter.
