Ive found some pictures of a smoker trailer on ksl on a rental ad and wondered if any of you have built one and what it might take? I might have a buyer for my sidekick tcase doubler setup which is why im thinking of this and want to get stuff aligned to build one. I like the pictures of this one minus the tall sidebox and this seems to be the perfect size for me and it would definately be fun if I ever kick myself out to a trail to bring it along and smoke for some friends.

Looks like an old gas cylinder. Possible propane tank.

This guy used a 250 gallon tank and it seems to be a long tank. The one you posted could be a 200.

Oh and I googled " propane tank smoker trailer" you get plenty of pictures and hits

thank you badger for the help ill search that out. I may be looking to even use a small 4x8 size trailer so a smaller tank might be in order. I wasnt sure what tank was used so thank you for clarifying that, ill start searching for a cheap propane tank.

heres another setup I just found and REALLY LIKE off of that site you gave me badger. I like the basket on the tongue that could be used for coolers.

Not a problem sometimes it's just a matter of guessing the right search term. I have seen a couple of propane tank grills so I kind of knew what to start with. The one issue you will run into using a propane tank is that they can get heavy, hence them being on a trailer. I would possible look into a 50 gallon drum or possibly two welded together.

Makes it a bit more portable , lighter, easier to handle yadda yadda

There are plenty of configurations. You could weld a 55 and a 35 or a 55 and half of a 55 to get the right length.

in process of building one myself. Using a 36" 6' long piece of steel pipe for my main chamber. I have a pics of a few that I have seen at some smoking co's and restaurants, but the pics everyone else have posted are really good suggestions.
