Snakes 1-01-07

Hit up the snakes today with quite a few guys. A little snowy, and about 6 inches everywhere. Tried out the new engine in the samurai. It kept stalling out on steep full throttle hill climbs, which made the exit at constrictor nice especially with about a foot of snow there. After I winched to the top I notcied the battery light and sensor light on my rig so we hauled back down. So far my alternator has sh!t the bed, we will see.

All RME guys? Those rigs look unfamiliar. How long does it take to run constrictor? Is it an out and back or is there an outlet at the end?

Nice xj Badger! Thanks for the tour. Always impressed with a very capable street legal vehicle. One more question. How do you like the winch set up you have? it disconnects right? if you connect it to the rear do you run cables out the back to power it? You seemed to have a decent approach angle. Is that a limiting factor?

Does anyone have a rig that can do the waterfall in constrictor without winching?

By the way Badger I liked the use of the wipers while also running the winch!

the winch usually sat inside in the truck.it only came out when needed.as for power i had quick connect power points front and back.

nice video .. Radiator Rapids, is right above that big boulder you walked your driver side wheels over (one sami made love to several weeks back) right?

From the camera angle it was hard to distinguish Radiator rapids ... it did not seem that you even struggled with it at all. That was where your passenger side bumber brushed the tree, right?

Was that a hard right hand line you took?

Sami about rolled there with a left line, everyone else struggled a bit with a center line.
