Where is "The Snakes" trail located? I have only recently started hearing about it and would like to make a trip! Also what is needed? (Lockers, tire size, etc.)

you can run rattlesnake in a stock rig. Just remember to stay on the trail. Don't venture off trail, even if there's a sweet obstacle to climb. Pick up trash (even if it's not yours), take pictures, and report back how it went. :)

This is a very fun and close trail you can bring the family and have a good time or take buddy's and make it as hard as you want it to be.

Plus if you know that there are a lot of people out that day you can drive up the easy way and just watch wayne's world too.

Keep an eye out for when people post up there going and just tag along most of us on the board dont mind if someone wants to wheel with us:)

I'm planning a trip for Aug 8 and 9th, but I'm sure at least 10 more rides will materialize out there before then.

I have a jk 4 door with a 2.5 inch lift and about 33 inch tires but that's it until I get some more money.. Will I only be able to do rattle snake or could I make it through constrictor?

I take my four door all they way up constrictor to eagles nest. With the right lines you should be fine. I'm running 35's but less lift than you.

Keep in mind that it's 90% driver, 10% vehicle. TJDukit is a great driver. Being a noob on the rocks, you could get through it, but it'll take a little longer. It all comes down to who your spotter is, and how well you respond to the instructions they give you. A JK is a VERY capable vehicle. i would strongly recommend getting some rock sliders before trying Constrictor. There aren't a ton of place to hit your rocker panels, but it'd sure be a shame to dent them up when a cheap $250 could have prevented permanent body damage on a $30k vehicle.

I have the same setup and can make it fine. You will probably scrape bottom a couple times, but Steve's spotting is a very satisfactory replacement for driving skills....

I guess I will just give it a shot then and see how I do! The old yj went everywhere I took it but I just needed something more reliable so now I guess I'll practice with the jk! Maybe I will plan a time to go as a group.

I love those JK's - I wish Toyota would make something comparable (no the FJ Cruiser does not compare). I just can't get myself to buy a Jeep...:D

She still has a ways to go before I am done but college doesn't help on the money side of things! :p Hopefully sooner rather than latter I can get some different rims and tires on there and some body armor!
