There's a plow car in the Glenwood Springs yard, it used to get put in service quite often. I haven't seen it move in the few winters we've been here. Perhaps I'll get a pic of it next time I'm up there, it's huge.

Yeah, the guy that posted the video said it took 3 additional locomotives to pull them out of that mess. :eek:

I like this one...

I saw that same thing happen live on SLC tv years ago... the camera shut off & the tv station crew wasn't sure how their field crew fared until 15-20 minutes later. :rofl:

Freakin' awesome! I love seeing the lead units come come out of the mtns with snow still stuck high on the plow. :cool:

Our local track manager sends his Regulator operator up Glenwood Springs Canyon after every snow storm. The operator plows the snow just below the top of the rail so you can see the track you're operating on. I've seen some pretty good size snow slides up there, we have had to Hy-Rail thru them, it would suck too derail in a slide area.
