Need more info on this. Looks like it needs it's own thread.

I'll fire up a thread eventually. I've been on the hunt for a good cat for a few years off/on and finally pulled the trigger a few weeks back. @mbryson was kind enough to help me transport it home. I'm hunting for a trailer to haul it on now. It's rather light (~4k) and only 9' wide so I can transport without too much affair.

Do you want pics up here? (Meaning are you still wedded?)

The Avalanche Skills class tonight was great. I'm definitely signing up for a level 1 on snow avalanche class and definitely one that's snowbike/snowmobile specific. took one over a decade ago for snowboarding but technology advances and memory fades.

If anyone else is interested, I'll keep this thread updated with some class options.
But at this point- I'd say it's an absolute necessity if you're up in the snow at all this year.

Also after much mental debate:

We rode south east of strawberry all last winter I have a buddy who owns a cabin there by the marina on the soldier creek side. Every time we go up we talk about going across 40 maybe this winter will venture over there. I snow checked a silber kit and IceAge elevate kit. I’m pretty excited money aside I don’t see any reason to not turbo more power is never a bad thing.
North side of 40 is great. You know, your Uncle John has a monster of a cabin at the top of Timber Lakes not far from Tower Mountain. He would love to have you up and the crazy thing is he has a whole garage full of them toys of which three are those fancy cats.

I disassembled my forks and inspected and serviced them. Then did the "budget revalve" on my forks. Which is to say: I changed the fork oil from 5w to 10w and I'll bump the air pressure from 175 to 200 psi.

And got full length fork skins (which apparently is important to keep ice from forming on the lower fork tubes-- when the forks compress the ice hits the fork seals and ruins them...

And this

Not too bad for 3 hours of work with no instructions haha.

I've still got to install the chain and bleed the brake.

So learning curve. I made some bonehead mistakes. Well not 100% my fault but the kickstarter bolt broke and lost it in the snow. wWe decided to keep riding and had to pull start the bike a few times in powder. Well my buddy has a loud can and I tipped over and he drug it and couldn't hear me yell "STOP" and bent the spindle

Then I had to replace the kickstarter shaft because my easy out broke in the shaft and they're hardened and won't drill out.
So the whole side case and clutch had to come apart.... You can see some heat on the shaft where I tried to TIG a screwdriver to the easy out with no luck..

Bike looks so clean on the inside.

It also broke my fork clamps so $165 later they arrived and I didn't get to ride today...
