Pffft....sad nothing. On to bigger/better (meaning smaller) things. Hang that hood on your wall to remind you of what you once beat on, if you must.

I'm sayin we can knock out your basic chassis in three good workdays, then you can post pics for the keyboard crawlers.

So I can add the hood to the wall containing the two other beat to crap and sticker filled hoods? I'll need abigger garage for that.

3 days eh? It might be a bit longer than that, since the engine/tranny/t-case, and seats will all have to be bolted in before the top half of the chassis can be completed. I think it can be put together with plenty of time left for testing (beating) before the first comp.

out of curiosity, what are you doing with the old chassis?
It got pretty beat up and bent on the last obstacle, at SuperCrawl 3. It's pretty beat up and bent. My plan is to drag it onto the trailer once it's stripped of all valuabe parts, and taken to the recycler. That way I'll get at least a couple bucks for it. If anyone wants it, feel free to come take a look at it and see if you think it is worth putting back together. I'd sell it VERY cheap, for about what I'd get from the recycler.

So was it the rim, the axle tube, or the spindle that ended up being bent from that last nasty roll???? I just rember you limping it back to the trailor and watching the axle shaft pull in and out of the knuckle in ways it shouldnt...

The rim is definately bent. Haven't even taken it off yet to check if the spindle is bent. I doubt the tube is bent, and that wouldn't cause the shaft to move in and out anyway. I'll be taking it apart tomorrow morning, and narrowing it this weekend, so I will know more about the damage at that point.
