Install more springs.

EDIT: Or lots more shocks, 80's style.

If you are getting axle wrap, you will need a bar, or really tough U-joints.

I would not run 4" springs with a SOA, that would end up with about 9.5" lift... way too much, the Jeep will be very unstable. If you do go with a SOA, traction bars would be a very good idea.

IMO if you're planning a SOA I think the best thing you could do would be using springs that are built to run SOA, like the Rubicon Express SOA leafs. I believe they are 1.5" lift on top of the SOA, just enough to give the springs some arch. They are built to resist wheel hop and would lessen the need for a traction bar. Even then, a traction bar would still be a good idea.

The RE1444 springs are a 5 leaf pack designed for spring-over applications.

The unique reverse eye allows more positive arch than traditional style leaf springs, resulting in a better ride and longer life due to the fact the spring does not need to go into a negative arch to compress.

Heavy-duty design minimizes axle wrap yet allows incredible wheel travel. Overall load capacity is increased over stock. Can be used front or rear. When used in a spring-over configuration yields a 7" lift. When mounted in a stock configuration 1.5" of lift is achieved. This is absolutely the best spring we have ever used for a spring-over!

Simple answer, yes until you brake your pinion.

Best answer, no SOA = Traction Bar front & rear.

Ps, There is nothing wrong with running one.

I'd run a traction bar on both ends. (I have a spring over with a traction bar in the rear--will be putting one in the front)

I don't think you need a track bar on a leaf spring vehicle. Ford Superduty, Jeep YJ or ???? (I still have the one on my Stuper Duty, though)

I say again: AFAIC, track bars on leaf-sprung vehicles are band-aids for bad design.

Traction bars on the other hand, well they're just the sweet necessity that working springs require. Nothing wrong with those. :D
