X2 plus when a body of water is that big and it is always 65 degrees what would any intelligent person expect.
Well, for all the big talk from Californians, you'd think that the ocean is warm year round and the weather is always just warm enough to get you in it.
.
For comparison, VA Beach was always warm when I went-- April through late September. I am not impressed w/ CA waters so far.
Legoland was pretty cool, except for the raping at the ticket counter. $67 a day for adults? And $57 for kids??? Oof. Luckily Tara gets a pretty sweet discount through JetBlue, but still. Anyway the park was awesome for kids. Totally geared to them, and no 'scary' rides at all. The miniature USA deal was cool-- Lego Vegas, San Francisco, New York, and especially DC were totally cool. I wanted to go see just that as a kid.
.
Overall its probably not somewhere we'll come back to, but totally worth the trip once, kids are at a good age for it.
For rides etc, I think Disney is probably better.
One thing I DO like here: people have been driving ok on the freeways-- no left lane retards and everyone has been driving at least the speed limit. Refreshing change from UT.
However, CA drivers have sucked in town. I am amazed no one has been hit yet.
