Made it down to Moab this weekend. We didn't get to do anything brutal because wives and fiances don't appreciate brutal things being done to their trucks, but I think we did manage to put them in 4wd once or twice anyway.

I really need a real camera.

That's Long Canyon. I'm glad we drove it, I've been wanting to do that one for a while. Zero tech, awesome views.

For another good drive similar to long canyon, try schaefer switchbacks all the way to potash road. It's one of my favorite leisurely drives down there.

After all the hassle of winning the permit lottery, it was on fire and was closed the 4 days we were in the area. Go figure. The rest of the trip was great though.

What trails did you do? Heading down in a few weeks, a few of the days the wives/kids will be along, wanted to take it easy. We'll save the harder stuff for the 'man day'....

Do you have a copy of Charles Welles Guide To Moab? If not, you need one. Anything on his green list should be super mellow, great for outings with family that don't appreciate the finer points of man day.

Don't, but will definitely pick one up. Friend and I have been wheeling since we were little, but wives are slowly being introduced. Thanks for the heads up.
