I'm on a fishing vacation with my family up here in Alaska.

I spotted these Landcruisers in Anchorage.I think they're from down under, but not entirely sure.

Enjoy!

Those are 70 Series diesels, not too uncommon to run into them touring the states. I've seen them in Moab, Kodachrome, Pony Express, etc. Very neat setups and often very unique too. They often start as cab/chassis models from Toyota and aftermarket camper companies build the living quarters, much like Chinooks and such. Most likely a 1HZ inline 6 diesel and 5 speed manual trans under the hood

You should see all the cool stuff here

I realized today that a lot of the Toyota trucks here, with the short, short beds and the wheelwells in teh rear doors, are using old 80's minitruck beds. I thought that was pretty neat. :D

I also like the split ambulance doors on the 100series here, and the 2-door 70 wagons.

Most of Toyota's trucks continue to have the tie down hook along the bed; even the current hiluxs can have them.

It's a look that the US market must've not liked, cause it went bye bye quite some time ago.. :(

I like it

Yeah, all of them here have the clasp-style tailgates too.

I am talking about them having actual beds from like, 1980 trucks. Same panels, updated tailights but the same shape, etc.

I am trying to get a picture of the cool 4-door mini-bed Tacomas there, they have different front ends, kind of like the late90's style but squarer, and they're lifted, from teh factory. They look AWESOME.

I've told my wife if I could have a clean four door Hilux the same body style as my 79 or a Toyota Trekker I would never complain about anything ever again
