South of Five Mile Pass???

Just wondering if anyone has spent much time in the hills south of five mile and west of Little Moab. I am looking for some more areas to go splorin. Have spent a lot of time around the Oquhir’s... Tooele south to five mile and am looking for new tera-firma.

I know that there are some old mine sites out there and will start in that general direction… just lookin for pointers.

I've spent quite a bit of time out there... alll the way West to to Gold Hill... and South down into Delta. Even at that, I feel like I barely know the place.

Kurt, do you know the staus of the hill just south of the 5MP parking lot (across the road)? There's a fun trail in there that I did a few years back, but I hear that area is all off limits so I've never vetured in there again, even though the ATV's seem to use the hell out of it. You got the straight poop on it?

That sounds like Charley's Trail, and it is closed. The entire area is open to OHV use, but you must stay on existing roads south of the highway. Charley's wasn't an existing road, just a wash bottom they were trying to build into a hard core trail. There are plenty of roads all the way south to Eureka, but ranchers run alot of cattle down that way. So if you go, make sure that you leave any gates you come to as you found them.
