Spidertrax KOH '09 Rock Bug

Anyone else been following this? Spidertrax is building this VW Bug looking race rig to compete in the upcoming King of the Hammers. Of course it has some bling Spidertrax axles and their new Ultimate 60 Knuckles. I love the lines, they worked hard to get the tube work look similar to an original Bug. I can't wait to see the finished product.

I like how their building a desert/crawler that retains the look of the original Baja Bug. Very retro, with lots of new offroad technology & amazing fab work. Those BFG Baja's don't hurt either.

Yep, I've been watching those updates roll out. Some of the work they're doing is almost sickening, it's sooo sweet. I'm very interested to see how it all turns out in the end, if there's anything that doesn't hold up or gets changed or whatever. The crew over there has quite a bit of experience with superlight buggies, but this one really takes it to another level or twelve.

Maybe the coolist thing about this IMO is how they are explaining the process and their ideas as they go. Very cool project!
