Spooled Front Diff

Anyone got some time to help me weld my front diff on my toyota? I have another differential if I don't like it, but I would like to have it cheaply spooled. I can bring the diff up out of my truck, but I have never taken one appart to get to the inside.

boom as in breakage or somthing? I have been wheeling with people who did this. They drive in 3wd untill some big obsticle then just hop out and lock the drivers side wheel for a locker in the front.

Till that time you forget and you try to turn and you find that you go straight...it's fun! Just throw down and get a ARB

Just my opinion, but I wouldn't weld a front diff. I want some play up there.

I hate my lockwrong in the front. spool would be a nightmare without hydro assist.

Its not a solid axle, its IFS, and like I said I hardly ever get to wheel and I especially don't have 600 plus install for an arb. I also have an extra differential I can throw back in if I don't like it. All I was asking for was someone who could help me weld it, not criticism in your oppinions.

It's just not wise to waste a dif doing that mannnnnnnnn!

It's IFS, it's a wasted diff anyway. I'll weld it. I'll be home most of the day.

Hey Jeremy are you still home? It took me a WHOLE lot longer to get that diff out than I thought. How long do you think it would take to weld one?

yeh, I'm home. Take mybe 20 minutes to weld, then maybe 45 minutes to cool. Pick up some Brake cleaner on your way. My cell is 554-0377

Leave it open and it'll teach you some skillz

With my ARB on it's a no-go on steering. Hydro assist is in the works.

Hey thanks Jeremy for welding it up for me. I probably would have ended up welding the ring or pinion knowing my luck. Hehe well maybe not that severe. Anyway We will see what happenes with that once I get it back into my truck.
