spot or flood led?

Ok guys im shopping for some led light bars and such. Can some of you that have these show me the difference between a spot and flood light?

It's pretty simple really the floodlights have approximately 30 percent more spread to the beam the reach a proximately 30 percent less in light distance. I personally prefer spots in the LED bars for a few reasons. First the bars are wider than a traditional light so you already get the wider pattern. Aside from the high and Ridgid bars most of the import bars do not have the reach of a traditional HID spot. Third they're much cheaper means to get flood lighting.

There are a lot of bars on the market that come in a combo pattern. Really the only difference is the style of reflector and since these light bars are mostly modular a lot of them can be configured in different styles.

The type of driving you are doing is a big factor as well. If you are planning on going fast, then some spots that will put light further down the road will probably treat you better. If it's crawling, then you don't need to try to send any light half a mile down the road.

Also, with a spot, my opinion it's that you need several to get a decent patch of light out there that is big enough to do you any good. I love them, but in my experience, it takes several to do the job right, in addition to some floods for the near stuff.
