spring width?

swapping axles under a yj and staying spring under. Going to do a shackle reverse. They are wagoneer 44's. would it be better to stay in stock location or do like a full width kit. what are the pros and cons of having leaf springs mounted wider or narrower?

I just put full width axles under the one I'm working on and the front was only an inch narrower (frame) if you think about it that is only 1/2" per side. The YJ frame is actually fairly wide. I wouldn't go through the trouble of out boarding the springs.
