Squaw peak to Hobble Creek Trail OPEN?

I'd head up there asap, its not to dusty right now. You can drive pretty far up from the Provo side in a car, but once you start to decend down to the springville saddle, it gets rough. I just wouldn't plan on it being a cake walk right now. Maybe later in the summer when its all dry, it'll be easier. But in the summer of 2000 in July I rode it, and the snowiest spot had just barely cleared the road, and it was very muddy at the time. We saw a huge truck stuck in the mud, and had a good laugh. I'm hoping to do it in the next week or so, and I'll give an updated report.

I did it last night, the entire thing is clear has been for nearly a month. I drive it very frequently, about 2 weeks ago i did it twice once in the day from provo to springville and then at night from springville to provo. There's some mud on it but nothing that will swallow you whole.

Yeah, how long did that night run take us? About an hour total in my cherokee counting the side trip up the hobble creek overlook. Not a tough road.

A night run up there would be cool, nice romantic sunset oppertunities as well I imagine.

Thanks for all the info. Kurt, we are running it Saturday morn (sometime in the morn)
I think the road can hook up with Diamond Fork and then to Strawberry.
We are going to camp up near Sundance somewhere. Should be fun. Hopefully no Cougars.

Actually the trail doesn't link up to trails to Diamond Fork or to Strawberry but there are others off either fork of the hobble creek road.

On the south end of the trail you can turn left at the pavement and go to the end of the pavement to a trail that takes you to Wallsburg and on to other trails.

If you turn right and head towards hobble creek golf course there is y split before the course and you can go east and find trails to take you into trails that head to Strawberry or Diamond Fork. There are a lot of fun places to explore.

Thx for the update. Are the trails to Wallsburg and or Diamond fork Marked?

I don't think the Wallsburg trail is really marked other than a warning that portions of it cross private property and to stay on the trail.

Diamond Fork is marked at the split. Follow the road until the sign points to the right fork. There are lots of trails to explore before you get to the split.
