Why does everyone hate itunes? I may be ignorant, but I felt it organized everything way better than what I had previously. Windows Media Player. What other programs are better for this?
A few reasons....
DRM is the first, though it is getting better. We have 5 players, home pc, home laptop, and 2 work pc's that I use the same library on....Itunes DRM does not allow this. (Any DL'd files with DRM does not allow this, not just itunes)
The bulkiness of all the other crap, tv, movies etc....I just want my music.
Lack of FLAC support.
iTunes has it's own tagging system, if you ever leave, it becomes a real PITA, to get your tags and art to synch with another program.
iTunes is great if your own a Mac and using an iPod. Or at least using an iPod.
If not, itunes is problematic.
iTunes tends to do what it thinks you want. I like total control....(Zune factory sowftware is just as bad in many ways.)
I use Media Monkey with Zune Alternator. Let Zune/MediaPlayer add the art, then sync and do play lists in MM. I have used MM for years an am very comfy with it. For non Ipod users, it is the best option IMHO.
