SRN tried to help me disconect some wires to allow me to have some low starter gear for crawling up stuff. He couldn't figure it out, and i had to be towed by a crazed Dodge owner(long story). Does anyone know exactly what needs to be done? help me out here, i need this cheap trick.

if you are talking about the clutch safety switch, just pull the wires from the switch and splice them together....then you can use the starter motor to save your bacon if you need to....you will need to ditch the stock size "motorcycle" battery in favor of something with some serious CCAs around 700-800

yeah, i think so. SRN kind of explained it to me. it is supposed to give me a low gear that will able me to climb anything with the starter gear, that's what steve said.

ummm well not exactly. it should be used for emergency purposes only as your starter motor will burn up in a matter of minutes....

just find the switch that is connected to the clutch pedal.

there should be two wires on the switch.

cut or unplug these wires and wire them together.

enjoy.

Yeah I only use mine if I stall the engine or if I need to reverse on a hill. I'm not sure how well it will work with a stock t-case, or have ya upgraded?

i haven't upgraded yet, but steve said he's done it for years and his starter motor is fine.

if you are talking about what spence is saying then it wont give you another gear it will let you crank while in gear...a lot of guys use this in comps so if they stall on a climb they dont have to go back to the bottom to start back up and they can continue their progress and not get a stopping point...do what spence said...find the switch(should be right behind you clutch pedal) take the wires off of it and splice them together...pretty simple...I have done it to my auto so I dont have to be in neutral or park in order to start...
