Steering options for IFS

I have a 87 toyota truck with the IFS still under it. The steering joints are all long past worn out. Rather than replacing with the stock parts what are the options for heavier stuff. I'm running 35's and would like to have a little piece of mind if there are options out there?

Before I blew up the motor in my '86, I was planning on reaming out the tapered holes in the knuckles and building a custom tie rod to take FJ80 ends. I'm not aware of anything sold commercially though.

You could drill out the tapered holes and use standard rod ends. Summit machine can make custom tie rods for ya.

After you chase down all the parts and account for the time to make it all work, I would MUCH rather freshen up the stock pieces and carry spares.

I wheeled my 87 prior to the SAS and had minimal problems. A spare set of rod ends, idler arm and tie rods will take you a long way on 35's.

I think stock is the way I'm going to stay. Not worth the trouble of a custom setup. Besides that,I have hammered the setup I have with no problems as of yet, other than normal wear. Thanks for the input.
