Steering pump and pulley

Anyone have a trick for holding the steering pump still without damaging it while you remove pulley and press it onto the new pump?

To jam the pulley up? I have a pulley puller if that is the tool you meant, my issue is keeping the damn pulley from spinning. I jammed a screw driver in it last time to bind the pulley up but I think thats what made this one leak.

I just always use a screw driver...I wouldn't think that that would do anything to cause it to leak, it's always seemed to work alright for me....thats just me though

Screw driver here as well....

You could try a strap wrench. Or wrap the belt around the pulley and hang onto the belt.
