He also revolutionized smartphones, and music players, and practically invented the tablet product segment, which is huge now, and has incredible growth potential.

I didn't know this until I read a short biography about him earlier today, but if it weren't for him, we wouldn't have Pixar, their amazing movies, and all the digital movies since then. He bought them in the mid eighties for a cool $5mil after pretty much getting fired from Apple and turned it into what it is today.

Meh, although his contributions have been significant, I could do without MP3/Ipods and their crappy sound quality, not to mention what their effect has been on modern music and how it is produced. I can also do without touch screens. Sometimes it's hard to not look retarded as a grown man swiping a stupid little screen. I must be getting old.

On a similar note; we passed by the apple store at the gateway today. Apparently the borg had left the hive long enough to stop by and place bouquets in front of it.
